The Founders Course was designed by renowned architect Bob Cupp and Alabama native Hubert Green. From 1992-2005, Greystone Golf and Country Club hosted the PGA Champions Tour golf tournament, the Bruno’s Memorial Classic. In a Sports Illustrated poll players, officials, and media voted the course as the #1 stop on the Champion tournament two years in a row. The Founders Course hosted the SEC Women’s Golf Championship in 2013 & 2014. Regions Financial Corporation and the PGA TOUR’s Champions Tour hosted the 2016 Regions Tradition, a major championship on the Champions Tour, May 18-22 on the Founders Course. Bernhard Langer engineered a steady pace and took the lead after the first two rounds. Langer turned it on down the stretch shooting birdies on 16, 17, and 18. Bernhard Langer took the season’s first major by 5 shots. In 2015, at Shoal Creek located just a few minutes down the road, Jeff Maggert won the Regions Tradition with a par on the first hole of a sudden death playoff.
The Legacy Course was designed by world-famous architect Rees Jones. The Legacy Course is currently ranked #89 in Golf Week’s Top 100 Residential Courses. The Legacy Course played host to the SEC Women’s Golf Championship in 2015 and awaits the 14 SEC women’s golf teams in 2016.
